Current Projects:

  • Imagination: Citadel

    C# / WCF · MS SQL · BizTalk

The Citadel is a financial administration services engine that lowers administration costs through automation and provides product building blocks.

We have joined the Imagination team for this project, with constant involvement in active product development.

  • Vinallti: iBlue

    C# / ASP.NET · MS SQL

iBlue is is a live vendor managed inventory server that monitors, accesses and controls stock replenishment across a market.

We participated in iBlueVend-Link development, a real time stock management platform that offers full visibility of all networked vending machines using .net reporting services and ASP.NET.

Currently we are developing iBlue Shelf-Link, which in concept and functionality is very similar to Vend-Link, but as its name suggests, works on shelves

  • Sa Steelworks: RCM Managment System

    C# / MVC · MS SQL

In line with SA Steelworks' focus on ISO 9001 compliance, we have created a Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) job tracking system and are iteratively developing it to further suit their needs.

  • Aerosens: Flight Centre

    C# · DirectX · NMEA GPS

Aerosens is a project we created in parthership with one over zero.

Aerosens Flight Centre allows you to play back GPS track files of aerobatic flights. This 3D track data can be merged with sequence timing information, performance zone location and sequence file to give vital information to pilots, trainers and judges.

  • MK Airlines: Crewing Suite

    C# / .net · MS SQL · CAP 371

Managing a crew-base in the dynamic world of chartered air freight is a tricky undertaking. With a growing fleet and more stringent flying time limits, MK needed a sytem to assist with the escalating complexity of managing their crew.

Information Logistics developed a solution coupling a drag & drop timeline-based .net GUI to a FTL rule-processing logic core on the MS SQL servers. The system is currently in the final stages of garnering UK CAA approval for its compliance with the CAP 371.

Past Projects:

  • Microsoft/M-Net: DealWorks

    C# / .net · MS SQL

We were involved in the M-Net DealWorks project on behalf of Microsoft Services South Africa.

This project was an intellectual property management system, involving contract management for content, scheduling of channels, media library administration and the generation of all related financial information.

  • Anglo: Metal Flow

    C# / .net · MS SQL

We were involved in a number of iterations of a modelling tool for Anglo Platinum in partnership with Dariel Solutions.

  • Gizmo Project: MySpace Transport

    Python · XMPP · GPL

We developed a transport for the folks over at SIPphone.com to allow the users of the Gizmo project to chat to their contacts on MySpace.

The transport is GPL'd and has been released to the public domain.

    MySpace Transport

  • MXit: SMS Notification

    Jabber/XMPP · Python · PostgreSQL · SMS

MXit is a Jabber instant messaging solution for mobile phones. Java client software on handsets opens a GPRS connection to transmit the compressed XML XMPP streams.

Information Logistics developed a system for MXit to send ad-sponsored SMS messages to alert users that offline messages have been received. A jabber agent receives notification requests, pairs them to sponsors, then sends SMS messages to users via an HTTP API. The system was successfully tested in a three month public beta sponsored by Information Logistics.

  • MK Airlines: Commercial System

    Zope/Python · W3C/javascript · MS SQL · Jeppesen

MK Airlines needed a system to assist with planning their complex schedule of cargo flights. We recommended the Zope application server for its rapid turn-around time, scalability and ease-of-use.

Interfacing with their existing Microsoft® SQL Server and Access '97 databases, we developed a system that simplifies the process of booking cargo, calculating costs and scheduling flights to a few mouse-clicks and key-strokes.
