Foundation
IL was founded to attempt to address issues around doing software "right" and we continue to improve our understanding of what this means.
As our name implies, we focus on the logistics of information, and the information of logistics.
Business model
We sell agile software product development using the scrum process. We engage with clients to create and groom a product backlog, then sell one week sprints to deliver features while constantly grooming the backlog.
Under this model, customers can buy sprints at an interval that allows for budget and provides adequate time to review.
Direction
We're putting our efforts into effective product team process and building our business to support it, creating "hyper productive" teams.
We're running two scrum teams and are looking to increase to a third team at the Century City offices in 2011.
History
Campey and Turner Information Logistics cc was founded in 2004 by David Campey and David Turner in Somerset West to begin work on an MK Airlines contract. Since then the company has worked on a number of projects around South Africa and the world.
In late 2008, David Campey took sole ownership of the company and we have now moved to a headquarters in Century City.
